Since my diagnoses with cancer, I have become more and more conscious of what ingredients are in my home cleaning products and food. During chemotherapy in 2016, I was even mindful of what products I used on my face and body. I think like most consumers we tend to believe because a product is on the shelf in the store it must be safe? Why would any company put harmful chemicals and masked fragrances that would be harmful? I can't understand how beauty products get away with not telling the consumer what's in their products and what is used to make the fragrance smell they way it does.
I recently came across this App called Health Living powered by EWG The Environmental Working Group that specializes in research and advocacy in the areas of agricultural subsidies, toxic chemicals, drinking water pollutants, and corporate accountability.
I immediately started scanning products I use to wash my face, moisturizers, body washes, shampoos and more. I could not stop using the barcode scanner feature to check products as I was shocked some contained harmful chemicals, allergens and carcinogens. Of course, I ended up throwing out a ton of products I had been using that I thought were chemical free and free from masked fragrances that were harmful to my health.
I immediately turned to the internet to find new products verified by the Environmental Working Group that meet EWG's strictest standards for health and free from harmful chemicals. As a cancer patient using products free from toxic chemicals is extremely important to me.
That is when I found the product Proverb a men's product line free from stuff we would never want to eat, drink or put in our bodies. The products are free from SLS, harmful chemicals, artificial fragrances, propylene glycol, and EWG verified. I immediately browsed the product line and ordered the Skin Definition Facial Scrub that came with two samples one strengthening skin serum and a pro moisturizer.
Once the Proverb product arrived, I couldn't wait to see what it was all about. I immediately loved the black box the product came in with the Proverb name on the front. I opened the box to find the product beautifully wrapped in black wrapping paper. After admiring the packaging and beautiful bottles, I decided it was time to give the product a try.
I started with the Proverb Skin Definition Facial Scrub. I instantly loved the clean, fresh smell. The product smelled healthy and energizing I was even more thrilled to know this product is free from petroleums, parabens, SLS, artificial fragrance,
propylene glycol. After the facial scrub, my skin felt and looked healthy I even felt healthy knowing I was using a product EWG verified.
Next, I used the Strengthening Skin Serum Intensive, daily, anti-ageing formula with glycoproteins to repair and fortify skin. Finally, I used the Oil Balance Pro Moisturizer, and my skin felt moisturized again I loved the clean, fresh scent. My skin felt amazing and looked healthier than it's ever looked.
I am 100% satisfied with this product! I can't wait to tell my friends, colleges, the cancer community and Crush It For Curtis Foundation followers and partners how amazing the Proverb product line is and its EWG verified, and all the Proverb products are free from petroleums, parabens, SLS, artificial fragrance, propylene glycol. I honestly can't wait to use the product again and place my next order!
