Crush It For Curtis Foundation is seeking a Web Developer Intern. This position offers a unique opportunity for students to gain practical work experience and increase their understanding of relevant issues related to their field of study. The Intern will be exposed to new technical topics and have the opportunity to apply academic knowledge. Activities may include analysis, programming, testing, and working in a professional setting.

 

This internship is not a paid position, however, 1-5 college credits can be earned. The timeframe for the internship is September 2018-December 2019. Crush It For Curtis Foundation will support college credit, upon request.

 

What to Expect as Crush It For Curtis Foundation Intern:


Challenge: You will be asked to participate in a variety of team-oriented projects that involve a wide variety of individuals inside and outside the department. You will also be given the opportunity to work on individual projects as required by business needs.
Prestige: You will have the opportunity to work directly with various levels of management throughout the organization.
Development: You will be continuously driven to develop your knowledge of our business and related Information Technology issues.


Job Description:
The Intern will work closely with the CEO and Vice President 

  • Technically design and develop new websites to support our Digital Marketing team

  • Research technologies and techniques to enhance our foundation’s digital offering to our customers

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of software development concepts and theory

  • Experience with C#, .Net, JS, HTML, CSS is preferred

  • Experience in problem-solving situations and ability to create innovative solutions

  • Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize competing requirements in a fast-paced environment

  • A desire for continuous learning and improvement

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

This position offers a unique opportunity for students to gain practical work experience and increase their understanding of relevant issues related to their field of study. This role will report to the CEO and VP of Crush It For Curtis Foundation and will be responsible for the successful management of all social channel activities of the brand, leading content generation across various social media channels and engaging with our social communities.

Job Description:

  • Market and manage the company brand on its social channels: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google+, Pinterest

  • Monitor comments across all social channels and responds in a timely manner

  • Manage the blog editorial process, including reviewing and editing blog content from others

  • Contribute content to the website blog

  • Update email subscribers

  • Develop processes for establishing KPIs and measuring results

  • Finding content for social media accounts

  • Contributing ideas for social media strategy

  • Develop fun and branded captions for Crush It For Curtis images

Qualification:

  • At least 1 year of experience managing a company's social media presence

  • Social Media Savvy

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills; a keen eye for details

  • Understanding of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics

  • Hoot suite Knowledge

  • Ability to identify target audience preferences and build content to meet them

  • Familiarity with web design and publishing

This position offers a unique opportunity for students to gain practical work experience and increase their understanding of relevant issues related to their field of study. The Grant Writing Intern will assist with the identification of appropriate grantors, and the execution and submission of grant requests. The Grant Writing Intern will research funding opportunities within fixed guidelines, research country, and context-specific conditions and statistics, and assist in writing grant proposals.

  • Research potential major donor prospects.

  • Conduct online research that supports the mission of Crush It For Curtis Foundation.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in research and/or grant writing preferred. Understanding of or prior work/volunteer experience in a non-profit organization preferred.

  • Excellent research, writing, verbal, proofreading, editing, analytical, and organizational skills.

  • Flexible team player, self-motivated, detail-oriented.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, customer service orientation, ability to prioritize and work and meet deadlines.

  • Computer aptitude and Microsoft Office skills required.

  • Familiarity with the Google Suite of products (e.g. Google Docs/Sheets/Drive).
